Switching deposit methodsHere's an interesting development I was forced to endure recently concerning a cash out and the fact that I had swayed from my usual path for depositing the last time before I did the cash out. NETeller is my usual chosen method for depositing into casinos and is my preferred method for cashing out as well. However there are times when NETeller isn't a convenient option so I use my Visa debit card. Turns out that is a mistake if you're one of those people who prefers to avoid as much red tape as possible. Because it had changed numbers as well as expiration dates on my debit card since I had last used it to deposit: the bells and whistles for fraud prevention begin ringing and long story shortened is the place contacted me stating it required all the usual fax-back stuff. Copy front and back of drivers license, the credit/debit card used for deposit, and most current bank statement. In this case there wasn't any particular evil involved, but it remained a big pain in the ass for me, as I had to go and buy a copier/fax machine because I got tired of driving up to the local printer shop to re-fax due to the casino emailing me saying the first try didn't take. (At that point I began thinking that this might end up being a prolonged inconvenience and since the money I was cashing in far out-weighed the cost of even an upper-end copier/fax machine .... I figured it justified my spending the money: so I did). Well I finally got paid but needless to say was quite put-out and because of the fact that I had been playing there for an extended period of time and that when I requested the cash-in it was to be paid thru NETeller, as I had done every single time in the past when cashing in: that they had still chosen to make me jump thru ALL the hoops before finally paying me, I will not be back. This is a sad note for me because although I would not go as far as to guarantee anybody else's play there: the place was still a favorite occasional haunt for me. Had they of been a bit more cordial and a bit more concerned about getting my situation satisfied for all involved: I'd still be playing there. But anyway folks, the lesson I learned was that if you're going to use multiple methods to deposit: that it might be a lot smarter in the long run to use that second method for depositing into NETeller, and then from there into your casino account rather than avoiding the middle man (NETeller charges) and depositing straight into the casino with your credit or debit card.
