Learning from lossesGambling Tip to reduce losses. Its only "truly" expensive if you fail to learn from it. Take this tip on gambling seek learning from losses as the first and best teacher you will ever encounter because people tend to learn quickest when they're paying a high hourly price. Talk to yourself. The smart gambler is their own "gambling buddy". Evaluate your play. After taking a particular hard, dumb or expensive loss, ask yourself: was that a smart thing to do? Now a lot of times the answer to that question is going to be "obviously not!". . Welcome to the club. There are a lot of us members. :)
this tip on gambling continues the thought on learning from your losses. The good thing you'll be able to take away from enduring a heavy loss is hopefully you'll not fall victim to the saying "those not willing to learn from history are doomed to repeat it". Meaning if you made a mistake which was avoidable then ideally you'll remember where you stepped off the path last time and thus will be able to avoid the pitfall the next time around. That's turning an expensive mistake into an expensive lesson. It is very often you see famous people paying big money for lessons from the best teachers. Trust me when I say there is no better teacher in this case so consider your money having went to the best. Now the question remains will you profit from the knowledge you've learned or not? Gambling tip: be rigid about lossesBe rigid in your approach when learning from losses and setting limits for gambling session.
Not sure what or where to start in the respect of the above gambling tip to reduce losses? No worries. Probably the best and easiest place to start is to set both loss and win limits and then make yourself stick to them. The loss limit is the most you will lose in one session of gambling. The win limit is a sliding scale which if you happen to reach your "win limit": its not really a limit at all but rather a marker that when reached, is notice to move your loss limit. Please let me explain in further detail. When you started out your loss limit was zero. If you lost the bankroll you'd initially started with you then knew it was time to quit gambling. But when you reached your "win limit" ... you now have enough money that to lose it all in one session would be .... lack of a better word .... stupid. :) And I think most would agree that if for instance you started out with $50 and won $1000, that it would be stupid to let yourself then turn around and give it all back in that same gambling session. So please take this gambling tip about learning from losses, be rigid about them and you will have learned to reduce your gambling losses to an acceptable level. Steve Briggs: www.bondedcasinos.com
