Kahnawake Gaming Integrity

Serious questions have arisen about the integrity of Kahnawake Gaming Commission after two online poker rooms, UltimateBet and Absolute Poker, were caught knowingly allowing cheating to happen (for 2 years) and in fact they both tried to cover up the facts once they were brought to light, and actually thwart investigations where ever possible but in the end to no avail.

Kahnawake Gaming Commission licensed both poker rooms. The former Chief of the Kahnawake Tribe (located in Canada), Joe Norton, just happens to also be the current owner of the two poker rooms in question. In the process of investigation it was discovered that some of the cheating players were in fact employees of UltimateBet and Absolute Poker, although the poker rooms claim it was former employees the facts are pointing at somebody still present in the company since there has been stonewalling at every turn from a company you'd think would want to get back the million-plus dollars that were stolen by these cheaters which the poker rooms after being outed .. finally paid back the stolen money to players but this never would have happened if it hadn't been discovered by players who became investigators.

This brings up a lot more than just the matter of the two poker rooms allowing cheating to happen and then trying to cover up the incident, even going as far as trying to hamper investigations. It raises questions about the integrity of the licensing authority, and whether the casinos and poker rooms that are licensed through the Kahnawake Gaming Commission are offering fair games?

If they weren't able to catch the thieves at Absolute Poker and UltimateBet, then what assurances are there that the other Kahnawake licensed establishments are safe to play?

I cannot answer that question but I do offer some solace to those who are worried about Microgaming powered casinos that are licensed with Kahnawake. Even if it were true that Kahnawake Gaming Commission was allowing their licensees to blatantly cheat their customers, it is unlikely that MGS would allow any of its licensees to be involved in such dishonorable endeavors.
