Gambling affiliates and casino portals : how they make their money And in my opinion there's nothing wrong with that. You'd likely spend just as much in a day's time playing golf or going to a play, heck even a trip to the movies costs you a considerable amount these days, so if your chosen type of entertainment happens to be of such that it offers a chance, whatever slim it might be: to get your money back, or even a lot more.... Then I say Bully for you! (and me, cause I like to play too). So that's how the majority of my money is made, and it wouldn't happen if I sent my players to a casino where they didn't have fair-odds chance of winning. Now the poker rooms are worked completely different. I only get paid if the player I send wins, because I get about 25% of the rake paid. However it takes a long time to get enough loyal players at any one poker room to make any serious money, and though I've not entered into it myself, I've heard that bingo websites are much the same. Unfortunately affiliates get cheated .... a lot. Of course, the casinos deny it, but those of us that have been in the business for a while all know this to be true. Affiliates are the first to get screwed and the last to get paid. That's just how it is, unless maybe you're what is known as a "super-affiliate" which would be someone like gambling.com. They get tons of traffic and are the Mcdonalds of the gambling niche online.
