Gambling articles and
books should be given some caution before you take everything they say as gospel
truth since there are all kinds of people claiming all kinds of strange and
silly systems will make you rich when used at the casinos. I have been literally
amazed at some of the incredibly stupid if not outright dangerous gambling books
and articles I have read over my years of self-education at trying to get an
edge back from the casinos.
Also watch out for gambling articles, tips and advice that you come
across on the web at casino portals and gambling guides. I realize I'm putting
down my own kind but I have to tell it like it is: and while these people are
quite capable of pointing you to better choice of online
casinos, many do not know
any more about gambling than the average person found in a casino. Anybody with
enough money to buy a domain name and hosting can put up a website. And please
don't let the fancier looking websites be an indication of knowledge because in
truth it isn't anything more than an ability more akin to an artist than someone
knowledgeable about gambling.
The publishers of books have little or no idea whether the
gambling books they sell are correct in their advice, they do at least know it
was written well and that ensures the author is well-educated in at least some
areas. That said, most times the authors have some kind of proven history of
their knowledge but it really depends on whether the book was commissioned (paid
to be written) or written first and submitted for publication in which case
there wouldn't be any prerequisite for a history of knowledge, just that the
gambling
book be well-written with a title that could sell books.
Remember when reading gambling articles or book to try out
their theories at home or try them playing online. The casinos all offer a free
version where you use play money. Everything else is the same including the game
odds so just use that to test out the systems you read about before you try them
playing for real money.
