Senator Bob
Goodlatte of Virginia has taken it upon
himself to decide that US citizens cannot
decide for themselves about online gambling
so he has passed a law on the last day of
the congress which was attached to a home
security bill, thus nearly assuring the
rider would get through, that makes it
illegal for banking institutions to
knowingly allow an online gambling site to
be funded using that banking institute for a
means.
Please note that no federal law
was passed explicitly stating
that online gambling is in any
way illegal. However there may
be laws at your local state
levels that if not making it
illegal then they have been
strong enough to scare off a
percentage of the online casinos
and this includes the leading
software provider to what many
including myself think are the
best casinos on line. The states
this software provider will not
accept players are
Michigan, Illinois, Indiana,
Louisiana, Nevada, Oregon, South
Dakota, Washington, New York,
New Jersey and Wisconsin.
While Senator Bob Goodlatte was
protecting the good citizens of
the states from enjoying online
gambling by
passing a law against banking facilities
that have no real way of
policing this idiotic law to
tell US citizens they can't gamble from the
privacy of their own homes he was accepting
$10,000 in donations from the horse racing
association which also just happens to be
one of the few entities US citizens have
been given the green light to gamble online
legally. Do the words
hypocrite or conflict of interest come to
anyone's mind?
